Get to know Matt
Matt is a two-term Blanco City Council member. He also served five years on Blanco's Planning and Zoning Commission and has experience in real estate, small business ownership, and finance.
As a member of the Blanco City Council, Matt hears and respects public input. If you've been to a Blanco City Council meeting, you know there is passion on every issue in the community. As your County Commissioner, Matt will fight for public discussion of community concerns at Commissioner's Court.
Matt understands the responsibility that comes with spending your tax dollars. As your County Commissioner, he is ready to be held accountable and to fight to make sure there are multiple, competitive bids for every county contract.
Matt is a team player who believes that great ideas and solutions come through collaboration. Along with his colleagues on the Council, Matt applied for and received a grant to pursue GIS mapping of Blanco's water and wastewater system. The Council has also created a task force and seeking funding for an engineering study to make Blanco a model city for waste water treatment and keeping our watershed healthy.
“I'm running to represent the people of Blanco and give them the strong leadership they deserve. I'm asking for your vote.” -- Matt Lewis
